Walking on Mountaintops
03:33
|
|||
I'm walkin' on Mountaintops. Singing on high. I feel I can climb right up and touch the sky. Dew-drops like diamonds laying at my feet. Bird-song a symphony with melody so sweet!
*Mighty are the mountains. Wonderous are the seas. The earth and all its beauty is glorious to me. Glorious to me.
Wild-flower's rare perfume, delights unfold. Dawn's colors peach and rose, crimson and gold. I'm walking on mountaintops, your higher ground. I shall dance in praise of you...a rainbow for my gown.
*Mighty are the mountains. Wonderous are the seas. The earth and all its beauty is glorious to me. Glorious to me. repeat

Wanderin'
03:37
|
|||
I should put roots down in this town. But I'm not ready to settle down. When the sun comes up I will be found, Wanderin'.
I may be high, I may be low. I may move fast, I may move slow. Makes no difference to me I know. Makes no difference as long as I go, Wanderin'
I might wander back this way. I might kiss your lips again some day. Until then, I'm on my way. Until then I'm just on my way wanderin'.
Wanderin'. I like wanderin'.
I should put roots down in this town. But I'm not ready to settle down. When the sun comes up I will be found, Wanderin'.

All that Remains (3am)
02:47
|
|||
Three a.m. I'm awake again and I softly call your name.
You're not there, I become aware that I'm calling out in vain.
I hear a sound and i turn around but only memories remain.
How many years, how many tears?
They say time heals all pain.
Morning foggy, I'm a little groggy and I softly call your name.
My head clears I know you're not there and I feel
a stab of pain.
I hear a sound and I spin around but only memories remain.
How many years, how many tears?
They say time heals all pain.
Three a.m. I'm awake again
and I softly call your name.....

Highway Song
03:26
|
|||
When a midnight moon awakes you and certain sadness overtakes you
Don't you shed one tear for me
I'm just the way I've got to be
You weren't my first love but you're my last
The road is freedom from the past
So I sing this highway song
And I keep movin' on.
When a lonesome whistle moans
And it chills you to the bone
Don't you think one thought of me
I'm just the way i have to be
You weren't my first love but you're my last
The road is freedom from the past
So I sing this highway song
And I keep movin' on.
Oh the wind blew cruel that fateful day
As you begged and begged for me to stay
Although the road I can't forsake
Yours is the last heart I will break.
You weren't my first love but you're my last
The road is freedom from the past
So I sing this highway song
And I keep movin' on.
You weren't my first love but you're my last
The road is freedom from the past
So I sing this highway song
And I keep movin' on.

House of Pain
04:03
|
|||
I can hear the tock, ticky tock, ticky tock of the kitchen clock.
I can hear the drop, drippy drop of every drop of rain.
I can hear the beat, hear the beat keep repeating in my heart.
I can hear the beat keep repeating in this house of pain.
And I see the shadows start to crawl up the wall in the hallway,
As time becomes a game.
I see the shadows start to crawl up the wall in the hallway,
In this house of pain.
Ooo this house of pain. Ooo this house of pain.
And I see the shadows start to crawl up the wall in the hallway,
As time becomes a game.
I see the shadows start to crawl up the wall in the hallway,
In this house of pain.
Ooo this house of pain. Ooo this house of pain.
And I see the shadows start to crawl up the wall in the hallway,
As time becomes a game.
I see the shadows start to crawl up the wall in the hallway,
In this house of pain.
Ooo this house of pain. Ooo this house of pain.

Riding with Angels
03:05
|
|||
Once you were so tender, so kind and so free.
Now locked in a broken heart; but I'm bringing the key.
You've built the worst walls...not of brick or of stone.
In a world full of people, you're standing alone.
But I'm riding with angels and I'm riding with stars.
We'll sail through those walls;
And free who you are.
Once I, too, was broken; but you took me in.
I've never forgotten that kindness my friend.
So now I am coming to stand by your side.
We'll be free together and able to ride...
We'll ride with the angels, we'll ride with the stars
We'll glow from the inside
And love who we are
We'll love who we are

Whippoorwill
02:58
|
|||
Call me happy-go-lucky. Call me the whippoorwill. Don't call me late for dinner, I haven't had my fill. Some people call me crazy--I don't cry boo hoo hoo. Some people say I'm lazy. I just say doo, doo, doo
I'm rolling in sweet clover, I'm bright as daffodil. Why don't you come on over and play with whippoorwill? Some say the sky's half cloudy, I say the sky's half blue! Why don't you come on over we'll all go doo, doo, doo
Call me happy-go-lucky. Call me the whippoorwill. Don't call me late for dinner, I haven't had my fill. Some people call me crazy--I don't cry boo hoo hoo. Some people say I'm lazy. I just say doo, doo, doo
Why don't you come on over...we'll all go doo, doo, doo!

Smuggler's Moon
04:05
|
|||
As night comes on in quiet deep; I try to take a little sleep.
But sleep won't come to me this night.
The smuggler's moon is on the rise.
I'm never sure when he takes his leave
If I should smile or I should grieve.
His soul is with the trip I know...
Just hope it don't get lost in Mexico.
Smuggler's moon, I know you've seen
Some fortunes made and blood lost for the green.
Tell me please, I've got to know
How my love fairs in Mexico.
He's on his way in the hands of fate
a short, rough strip then pick up the weight
He's all fueled up, wheels in the well.
Will he sleep at home or in a jailer's cell?
He's a damn good man and he knows his plane
but I worry when he's workin' just the same.
A simple line drawn on a map
Can be the key to riches or an agents trap
Smuggler's moon, I know you've seen
Some fortunes made and blood lost for the green.
Tell me please, I've got to know
How my love fairs in Mexico.
He says one more and he'll be done...
Then we can kick back and have some fun.
But the money don't last and he has to go
Make one more run to Mexico.

Mad River (Batwot Blues)
02:28
|
|||
Oh, the Wiyots named her Batwot and I think it's really bad..
Someone dared rename the river 'cause I think the river's Mad.
Oh, the Wiyots called her Batwot and I think they must be sad
Someone dared rename the river and they know she must be Mad.
When she swept their homes right off her banks
With all the people had
They realized a bit too late
They'd made the river Mad.
The moral of this story
Listen lassie listen lad
Don't dare rename a river
'Cause you'll make the river Mad

Ready to Roll
02:59
|
|||
Life can seem a big gamble, hard times can sure take their toll. Makes a person want to uproot and ramble; on the road ever-ready to roll. If I want to be on the road tomorrow, I might as well get on the road today. The only thing holding me is myself; I've got to learn to get out of my way.
*And as time falls, the highway calls, the Muse must adventure forth. With multiple phases and powerful places to the east, south, west & north.
With a clear mind and true heart I travel, connecting the dots along the way; with a sunrise a surprise unravels; with a sunset I learn how to pray. So catch me as I breeze through your town with a breath of fresh air for your soul. As you inhale we all join together, as you exhale we'll be ready to roll. On the right road ever-ready to roll.
*And as time falls, the highway calls, the Muse must adventure forth. With multiple phases and powerful places to the east, south, west & north.
If I want to be on the road tomorrow, I might as well get on the road today. The only thing holding me is myself; I've got to learn to get out of my way.
I've got to learn to get out of my way.
I've just got to learn to get out of my way.

Show for Free
03:53
|
|||
I don't mind if you come along...join right in and sing this song.
The day is closing and the night is closing in.
Come sit by the fire and be blessed by smoke.
Share some stories and your corny old jokes
And we'll watch the stars put on a show for free.
Oh, we'll watch the stars put on a show for free.
Now is the time, this is the place
Let's weave some magic up into this space
And we'll turn our insides out for all to see.
We'll stare at the heavens for heaven's sake
And we won't have to take a commercial break.
And we'll watch the stars put on a show for free.
Oh, we'll watch the stars put on a show for free.

Lullaby for a Fire Sign
01:54
|
|||
Hush now child don't you fret
Hush now child don't forget
You're safe and warm in my arms
Safe from harm wrapped in my arms.
So close your eyes and go to sleep
Safe and snug you're going to keep.
Though the storm rages outside
You're safe with me snuggled inside
Safe and warm wrapped in my arms
Safe from harm wrapped in my arms.
So close your eyes and go to sleep
Safe and snug you're going to keep.
Hush now child don't you fret
Hush now child don't forget
You're safe and warm in my arms
Safe from harm wrapped in my arms.
So close your eyes and go to sleep
Safe and snug you're going to keep.

Lullaby for a Water Sign
02:06
|
|||
Little one, the setting sun
Has gone and turned out the light
Go to bed
You sleepy-head!
Let's call it a night.
Close your eyes and realize
The wonder of your dreams.
Close your eyes and sleep.
Close your eyes and dream.
