About the river known now as the Mad River but was originally called Batwot by the indigenous

Oh, the Wiyots named her Batwot and I think it's really bad..
Someone dared rename the river 'cause I think the river's Mad.

Someone dared rename the river and they know she must be Mad.

When she swept their homes right off her banks
